This haunting short film is set in Cambridge University in 1979 and shot in Jesus library. Packaged in a plot full of sick twists, Unwell Woman paints a visceral picture of how medical discourse has been used to repress women’s minds and oppress their bodies — and the painful lengths they have gone to fight back.

Daniella is a writer, filmmaker based in Cambridge. She is writing her PhD - an offbeat biography of the crazy, queer German filmmaker Rainer Werner Fassbinder.
