ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Elia (they/them) and I'm the Disabled Students' Officer. Although I've had some difficult experiences regarding my time as a disabled student, I've also had fantastic experiences working with those campaigning for change. In combination, these inspired me to run for the role. My role involves advocating for the needs disabled students', campaigning for changes to improve the university experience of disabled students and, additionally, working with the fantastic Disabled Students' Campaign!  This year, some of my priorities include: exploring the experiences of students undergoing fitness to study procedures, working towards better provisions for disabled postgraduates, and campaigning on diversifying assessments. If you have any questions or want to chat, please get in touch!
